The Facts on Issue 1
Issue 1, the Citizens Not Politicians Amendment will:
* Create the 15-member Ohio Citizens Redistricting Commission made up of Democratic, Republican, and Independent citizens who broadly represent the different geographic areas and demographics of the state.
* Ban current or former politicians, political party officials and lobbyists from sitting on the Commission.
* Require fair and impartial districts by making it unconstitutional to draw voting districts that discriminate against or favor any political party or individual politician.
* Require the commission to operate under an open and independent process.

From Ashland County Election Board: PLEASE SHARE!!! IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
THE Ohio Secretary of State's office mailed out absentee applications to all eligible voters in Ohio. It has come to our attention that the return mailing address for our office is incorrect. The bottom our address is fine until it lists the city as JEFFERSON and not ASHLAND. We have notified the Ohio SOS office and USPS. USPS has assured us that the barcode below the incorrect address does read as Ashland, Ohio, so all mailings should return to our office with no problems. If you are concerned, you may return these application forms in-person to our office, in our 24HR drop box, or in your own envelope with our correct address:
